    What is the Pelvic Floor?
The pelvic floor is a group of muscles at the bottom of your pelvis. These muscles work to provide support to organs, resist intra-abdominal pressure, maintain continence, and perform sexual functions. The rectum, urethra, and vagina all pass through the pelvic floor. Dysfunction in pelvic floor muscles can affect any or all of these structures leading to conditions such as incontinence, pelvic pain, and organ prolapse. Pelvic Floor Muscle Therapy treats the root cause of these conditions, restoring your confidence and improving overall quality of life.

    Patient Experiences
“In a few short weeks, I have been able to improve my strength and gain confidence back so that I can participate in activities I love, like exercising and laughing with my family, without worry! It was uncomfortable to reach out for help with this issue, but my therapist eased those fears right away. She explains things in a way that I can understand and has given me the tools that are practical for my lifestyle so I can maintain my progress. I encourage anyone experiencing incontinence issues to reach out to Advanced PT; they’re great!”

When you walk into the door the first time, you feel welcomed by every single employee in the office. Erin was amazing, from my first appointment to my final appointment she listened and developed a plan that worked for me to meet my goals.

I really enjoyed my time at Advanced Physical Therapy! Erin did a great job of making a process that could have been extremely awkward and uncomfortable more bearable and manageable. Besides this, Erin is one of just a select few medical professionals I’ve worked with who actually made me feel listened to and heard. The exercises we practiced in physical therapy were approachable and easy to add in at home. Progress was consistent and noticeable, and I feel confident that I can resume normal activities, such as hiking with my dogs, that were previously inaccessible to me. Everyone I met there was very positive and kind! I would definitely feel comfortable recommending Advanced Physical Therapy to anyone!

After having a baby in February, I was having some discomfort. A friend gave a glowing review after receiving Pelvic Floor Therapy at Advanced Physical Therapy. I had to check it out! From the moment I called, I was very impressed!

She made what could have been a very uncomfortable experience very easy, was extremely professional and, quite honestly, amazing. I almost didn’t make the appointment for therapy just out of fear of being mortified, this honestly was so far from how each appointment actually was. Great facility and caring staff, what more could you want?
